How DU students handle finals week stress

Finals week is one of the most stressful times for college students. At the University of Denver, students are studying for exams, finishing projects, and trying to complete all of their assignments before the end of the quarter. Because of this, many students feel overwhelmed and stressed. Packing up to go home as a DU student

This TikTok follows my move out day at DU as I get ready to head home for the summer. The video reveals everything from doing laundry and packing my room to spending time with friends, moving my belongings into storage, and saying goodbye to campus before driving home.

I created this video because I wanted to reveal what it is like packing up and going home as a DU student at the end of the school year. The idea came from my own move out experience and everything that goes into leaving campus for the summer. I planned the video by thinking about the main parts of my day that I wanted to capture. I filmed myself doing laundry, packing my room, getting brunch with friends, moving my stuff into storage, and driving home. I enjoyed filming the specific parts of my day and what it would look like from an outside perspective. My favorite part was looking back on my last day at DU and saying goodbye to all my friends and roommates until next year!!

Inside the DU Dorms: Everyday Life and Personality in Small Spaces

For my photo gallery I focus on housing and dorm life by capturing residence halls, shared living spaces, and individual rooms to show how students live daily. I highlighted details like decorations, organization, and interactions to reveal relationships and personalities. My favorite photos include my two friends playing guitar, which captures a candid moment, my roommate relaxing on her bed, where lighting and decorations show calmness and individuality, and a calendar image that adds a fun and balance to college life, showing that the student experience go beyond just academics and work.

DU Dorm Life

For my audio photo slideshow I want to convey how each room is different but still connected since we all live together. For the audio, I’m thinking of using a famous movie monologue in the background or a song that everyone in our dorm loves. If I have time I also want to add short clips of my roommates and I talking or hanging out to make it feel more personal.
